Bukhara State Pedagogical Institute was established as the Pedagogical Institute of Bukhara State University by Resolution No. 188 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated April 6, 2021, in accordance with Resolution No. PQ-4623 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 27, 2020.
In accordance with Presidential Resolution No. PQ-289 dated June 21, 2022, it has continued its activity as Bukhara State Pedagogical Institute.
In the 2024/2025 academic year, the institute has 6 faculties and 21 departments. It offers 30 bachelor’s degree programmes and 23 master’s degree specialties.

A total of 12,124 students study at the institute: 11,793 in bachelor’s programmes (7,277 full-time, 964 evening and 3,552 part-time) and 331 in master’s programmes.
The institute employs 391 professors and teachers, 149 of whom hold academic degrees.
At the bachelor’s level, the institute offers full-time, evening and part-time (extramural) forms of study. The institute also trains specialists at the master’s level.
Admission to the institute is held every year in accordance with the procedure established in the Republic of Uzbekistan, based on state-approved admission quotas. Official announcements about admission dates and requirements are published on the website.
