Korean Language Training and Advanced Studies Center Launches in Bukhara

Bukhara hosted the opening ceremony of the Korean Language Training and Advanced Studies Center, along with an event dedicated to the launch of the Korean Language program at Bukhara State Pedagogical Institute.

The event was attended by Mr. Lee Yong Ung, Director of the Tashkent Korean Education Center under the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Uzbekistan, leadership of the Bukhara Regional Department of Preschool and School Education, Rector of Bukhara State Pedagogical Institute Bakhodir Bakhshulloyevich Ma'murov, directors and teachers of general education schools, as well as students learning Korean.

During the event, it was noted that the establishment of the new center and the launch of the Korean Language program at the Institute mark a new stage in educational cooperation.

The center's activities are aimed at:

• expanding opportunities to learn the Korean language;
• enhancing the professional qualifications of Korean language teachers;
• promoting modern teaching methodologies;
• developing the language skills of students;
• further strengthening educational and cultural ties between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.

The opening ceremony was held in a warm and festive atmosphere, featuring performances showcasing the rich cultures of the Uzbek and Korean peoples. Students of the center performed Korean and Uzbek national dances, adding a special festive spirit to the event.

Guests, educators, and students also had the opportunity for warm dialogue and an exchange of views. Participants particularly highlighted the significance of the new center in improving the quality of Korean language teaching and learning in the Bukhara region.

The establishment of the Korean Language Training Center in Bukhara and the launch of the Korean Language program at the Institute mark an important step toward creating new educational opportunities for young people, professional development for educators, and strengthening friendly educational and cultural ties between the two countries.
