Our President noted that, thanks to the efforts undertaken, the environment for working with young people in our country has fundamentally changed.
In particular, the problems of 1.5 million young people who faced difficulties in obtaining an education, acquiring a profession, learning a language, finding a job and starting a business were resolved through the “Youth Notebook”. As a result of an attractive business environment and preferential resources under special programmes, the number of young entrepreneurs increased fivefold, exceeding 287 thousand.
As favourable conditions were created for increasing the number of training centres, the number of young men and women intensively learning foreign languages reached 3.5 million. Our talented pupils and students won 434 medals at prestigious subject Olympiads, and our young athletes won 2,245 medals at international competitions.
As law-enforcement agencies and governors were assigned to young people with difficult upbringing, youth crime decreased 2.5-fold over two years.
“But this does not mean that all issues related to young people have been resolved,”
– said the head of our state.
It was pointed out that the agencies, ministers, governors, rectors, and directors of technical colleges and schools responsible for youth affairs must work tirelessly on the problems, needs and interests of young people.
